A business owner does not have to be a programmer, a marketing specialist or a legal expert. When they have a website built or entrust their advertising to an agency, they naturally expect responsible advice.

In practice, however, we have also seen a different approach. One supplier explained a missing cookie banner by saying the client did not want it. A marketing agency, in turn, asked for tracking to start before visitors had given consent. Supposedly that is common practice and they had never had a problem.

We also came across a business owner in the motor services trade who had built an affordable website himself. He stored invoices and client documents in a folder he considered a secure part of the admin area. The files, however, were also accessible from outside — to anyone who knew the address, and search engines could find them too. What looked private to him was open to someone else.

123audit.sk grew out of exactly these experiences. We saw how easily someone can run a website in good faith without realising that its settings put customer data at risk or expose the business to unnecessary risks.

That is why we look at your website from the other side. We also check what is publicly accessible even though you do not see it on an ordinary visit. In an individual audit, an IT specialist goes even deeper — into the source code, the admin area and the server settings. We complement the automated checks with an assessment by an IT specialist and explain the findings clearly, with evidence and recommendations for fixing them.
